Raising Kids in the Light, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the homeschool community of Western New York by providing opportunities for socialization, community events, and family connection. We aim to create a nurturing environment where children and families can grow together in light, love, and learning — without specific educational oversight, just fellowship and fun.
About Raising Kids in the Light, Inc.
Raising Kids in the Light, Inc. is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to support homeschool families through freedom in education, meaningful connection, and community experiences for children of all ages. I believe learning thrives when children are encouraged to grow in curiosity, confidence, and shared values — without a one-size-fits-all approach.
My goal is to bring families together across age groups, creating inclusive opportunities for children to learn from one another, build relationships, and experience real-life learning in a supportive community.
About Me
I’m Rachel, a parent of three and the founder of Raising Kids in the Light, Inc. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, I’m a CPD-certified event planner, and I’ve completed CPD certification in homeschooling in early childhood education. As a full-time homemaker and community organizer, I’m passionate about creating spaces where families feel supported, children of all ages can connect, and homeschool families feel confident in choosing what works best for them.
